the journey of a leaf...

to immortality!

above: destiny of a print
below: stations in the life (or should I say after life... ) of a leaf
I used the pressed leaf for a cyanotype and the cyanotype for the basis of a series of digital prints. One of the prints found its purpose in the binding of the above "book" containing a poem by Yannis Ritsos.

  1. Anna, I'm fascinated with your cyanotypes and the prints you are making. I'm going straight back to that extract from the cyanotype book for another browse.

  2. What a tremendous colour combination Anna. I have never heard of the poet but your book must surely complement his work and do it justice. I shall have to see if I can find out more. Lesley

  5. I love the way this works - the print makes a perfect cover/back drop for the book and the folds make it look so interesting and inviting.

  6. What an elegant and delightful piece. Caught my attention in a way few things do these days. I also find your digital reworking of the cyanotypes (if I'm understanding the process correctly) quite impressive. I just like how this fits together--the folding, the lettering, the design. Very nice.

  7. Thank you so much!
I am pretty sure you understood the digital transformation of the cyanotype; I love the endless possibilities that digital transformation offers as well as the resulting bits of inspiration to apply back into traditional/old fashion printmaking...
