a Thank YOU...

new year's give away Gift!
My lilliputian [new] book I named (what else?) "tiny"!
I don't really work in small formats, I actually tend to attempt bigger and bigger structures, but this time I felt like creating a miniature work - perhaps the first of many more to come...
Photographing tiny was fun too, trying out my brand new camera: a super wonderful gift from my son Mark!
And while in this sunny mood, and thinking of all the joy I've received from you all visiting, following  and commenting here, I am going to offer one of my miniature works as a "thank you" give-away gift! Please leave a comment here, anything you like to say about this blog, blogs in general, art, paper, friendship, wishes for a creative new year... whatever! On Saturday, January 14 I will let you know who will be the recipient of one of my latest miniature structures, signed and made with love!

  2. This seems a little cheeky as I'm not sure I've ever left you a comment although I always read and am inspired by your blog. I would relish the opportunity to own such a little treasure. Although I mostly work in textiles I dabble in a little book making.

  3. Anna, this is another lovely book!
Curious now - I have to ask what paper you used.It seems stiff enough to hold the fold, yet looks so dainty.

  4. Every time I see your work, I am humbled and amazed! Working with paper is something I would love to do...but feel that I'm all thumbs when it comes to folding and the like. Practice makes perfect...I know...but still...

To have one of your pieces would be fantastic!!

  5. Gina, not cheeky at all! It's never too late for posting and I am happy you find my blog inspiring. Thank you!

Dinah the paper is my very favourite and the one I use for most of my printmaking: Rives BFK.

Dave, I thank you for your kind words. Practice does make perfect (or I hope it does...). In my case it's a long term relationship and love; it seems I cannot survive without being immersed and surrounded with all kinds/all stages of paper and paper works!

  12. I follow your blog faithfully and continue to be inspired by your talent, creativity and inspiration. Thank you! Your photos are great - congrats on the new camera. I am intrigued by this structure, the size, the marks made...everything! I create in a vacuum per se, thus I find blogs open my mind to the process and potential of other artists. Yay!

  15. Small is usually great but your little gem is truly wonderful. The innovative structure, delicious paper and variable pages look fascinating. I'd love to hold it to have a really good look. I'm in your group for Edition 4 in BAO and look forward to seeing a lot of your work this year.

  16. I for one did not envisage when I started flying through the blogosphere, not that long ago, that I would be privy to so much personal insight into creative thought and talent, not to mention the wonderfully generous nature of the artists that create said wonders. Thank you for sharing your treasures with the rest of us in blogland Anna - how marvelous to imagine your little creation jumping off the computer screen and magically winging its way into someone's waiting hands out there in blogland, like a little homing pigeon.

  17. This is beautiful! Ive just started reading your blog and have enjoyed it so much. Regarding working small, I have trouble with large sizes. Hopefully I will find a way to break out of the tiny rut.

    Cheers,

    Anna
