behind the scenes...

...in my blue world!

For the last few weeks my world has totally turned blue! Yes, I am working on cyanotypes, a process I am becoming more and more interested at, developing works on a narrative of a very special nature and loving every (sunny) minute!
As time goes by, I will give more details and glimpses of these works, as well as reveal their final destination; all in due time in the not so distant future!

  1. I love how you take processes that are simple and common, such as cyanotypes, and transform them into something that is completely your own style, different, intriguing and anything but simple. I look forward to seeing where you go with your blues!

    1. Thanks Tammie Lee!
Some of these blues continue their transformation through toning processes, resulting into equally lovely browns, aubergine toned blacks, etc....

  5. I was ahhhing my way down your entry when I was surprised by the girly dress. I wonder where it fits in in the process. Any way, it's delightful. And now I am also fascinated by your previous comment: '...toning processes resulting into equally lovely browns, aubergine toned blacks...' Oh, I am looking forward to that too!

  6. I am not familiar with this tone blue process... but I do love all the blues... reminds me of the Japanese boro quilting.

    1. Donna, I agree! These works (especially when they have been toned) have a similar "feel" to boro quilting.
