good enough?

Why is it that when I am experimenting, doing a mock-up, developing "something" without much of a concrete basis, I end up with a structure I fall in love with?
In the meantime and while I am in trance cutting, folding, adding and subtracting, I totally forget where and why, totally lose the sense of time, and suddenly realize that what I have completed is pretty good, perfectly belonging to the group of works I am preparing for my show and in total sync with everything else!
If only it was made with different and more sophisticated materials... If only...

  1. Yes, good enough. And fabulous to boot. The same thing has happened to me, making something awesome with less-than-awesome materials. I guess it is the way it's supposed to be. Yours is definitely enough.

  2. Oh, thank you! I appreciate your comments immensely. I guess being in an experimental mode, we tend to be lose and free and that definitely reflects at the work's quality.
Thanks again, and thank you for stopping by.

  5. Anna, who cares what it made of. The most beautiful thing is that it has been made at all, crafted by you letting one action lead to another, lead to another... lead to another

  6. I agree. Who cares. It is really beautiful. Who knows. Maybe it wouldn't be so lovely in another material.............

    1. Roberta,
      You may be right.
I've found in the past that redoing does not necessarily bring a positive result.
Sometimes different materials result in soulless works.
