looking down in Tokyo...

...and finding {loads of} inspiration on the streets' pavements!

Arriving in Tokyo from the US, you suffer the most persistent jet lag! You get up at 5:00 in the morning and camera in hand you start walking/exploring the amazing city; suddenly you realize that you are stepping on the most elegant and cleanest pavements ever! Next you recognize the endless possibilities for translating the unexpected geometry into your art vocabulary.
Can't wait to do just that, once I am back at the studio.

on a gray theme...
Sorting out works done in the past, sometimes result in a rather surprising experience: revisiting in a rather vivid mode the emotional state I was at the time while creating them.

a tale within a tale...

Reclaimed pages from a discarded book found a new purpose in life by providing me with more than just a surface to print; I was drawn to certain notes on the pages by a previous owner, reminding me how differently each of us process the study of a book, the conclusions drawn and also how we differ in our imaginary portrayal of the characters, how we see and understand them in our minds and hearts.
"a tale within a tale" is a four panel stitch-joined concertina structure, presenting my interpretation of scenes from a book I read long time ago.
