My "blues" production is continuing in full force, and the blue palette is expanding into other not so blue tones. The actual process is called "toning" and by using tanning agents (very strong black tea is pretty good substitute for this), bleach solutions (washing soda can also be used), all sorts of colors are achieved.
My cyanotypes have been spreading allover the studio, my home, my mind! Although I try to wear protective gloves most of the time, my hands have been stained and my blue nail polish is covering/camouflaging all kinds of residual signs from the long hours fooling around with chemicals, in style! Don't you agree?
